“The Life And Times Of Wyatt Earp” starring Hugh O’Brian:
High school jock, who after a stint in the Marine corps, joined a small L.A. theater company before easing into a string of minor Hollywood Westerns, most notably “Beyond The Purple Hills”  (1950) with Gene Autry, “The Return Of Jesse James” (1950) with John Ireland, “Vengeance Valley” (1951) with Burt Lancaster,“Little Big Horn”  (1951) with Lloyd Bridges, “The Cimarron Kid” (1952) with Audie Murphy, “The Battle At Apache Pass”  (1952) with Jeff Chandler, “The Lawless Breed” (1953) with Rock Hudson, “The Man From Alamo” (1953) with Glenn Ford & “Broken Lance” (1964) with Spencer Tracey. By 1955 Hugh was a veteran of westerns & it was an easy task for him to walk into the role of legendary Lawman, Wyatt Earp, for the long running TV series “The Life And Times Of Wyatt Earp” (1955 - 61).

Ireland looks so much like Jesse James that people begin to think the late outlaw is still alive, and Frank James, who's gone legit, thinks he has to set his "brother" straight. Ann Dvorak, Henry Hull, Hugh O'Brian, Reed Hadley and Tommy Noonan (half-brother of Ireland) also star. 75 min.

Taut Western drama about a band of cavalrymen trying to intercept Custer's forces and warn him of an Indian ambush, but who are being killed one by one by an unseen enemy. Lloyd Bridges, John Ireland, Jim Davis, Hugh O'Brian star. 86 min.

Offbeat sagebrusher in which Burt Lancaster becomes embroiled in a nasty feud with bad boy half-brother Robert Walker when he's accused of fathering an illegitimate child. Hoping to control Lancaster's stake in the family ranch, Walker joins forces with the woman's brothers to track down his sibling. Joanne Dru, John Ireland also star. 83 min. Buckaroo Sheriff Of Texas(1951) VHS
Republic's first "moppet oater," a series of Westerns with children in lead roles, casts Michael Chapin as the pint-size grandson of a sheriff and the only stumbling block in the way of an evil land-grabber, who tries to take advantage of the town's men being off fighting in the Civil War. Co-stars Hugh O'Brian, Eileen Janssen, James Bell and Tristram Coffin. 60 min.
