Italian actor who began his film career in the mid-40’s but didn’t achieve any real notice until he was cast as Bond villain, Emilio Largo in “Thunderball” (65). Other notable films include, “That Man From Rio” (1964),”Von Ryan’s Express” (1965), “Grand Prix” (1966), “Danger: Diabolik”   (1968) & the James Bond knock off “Operation OO7” (1967).

James Bond Villain:
In 1965 Adolfo played the eye-patch wearing Bond Villain Emilio Largo in“Thunderball”.

After his first film appearance in 1946 Adolfo work steadily in European films right up to his death from a heart attack in 1986. Aside from his impressive appearance in “Thunderball”, his 1969 film “Alibi,L” was a personal achievement having written, directed and starred in the film opposite fellow Italian Vittorio Gassman.

Thrilling wartime story set in 1945 Holland, where a hidden fortune is the prize fought over by Nazi forces and escaped Allied prisoners. John Ireland, Adolfo Celi, Curt Jurgens star. 117 min.

Confessions Of A Frustrated Housewife [VHS](1970) VHS
Super-steamy erotic story starring Carroll Baker as the wife of a sexually troubled Italian industrialist who is told to chase after younger women to solve his problems. While Dad's away, his son and Mom get involved in an illicit affair. Adolfo Celi and Femi Benussi ("Hatchet for a Honeymoon") also star in this scorching tale.
